Scottish Outdoor Access Code

There are many freedoms in Scotland when it comes to accessing the hills, beaches, parks and woodlands but what are your rights and responsibilities.

You can download a leaflet from Outdoor Access Scotland by clicking the image below which gives advice about your freedoms and what is expected in return.

In Coigach please pay particular attention to ground nesting birds, fire safety and disposal of waste. Leave gates as you find them. In addition unfenced land is common grazing where you will frequently encounter livestock so please keep dogs under proper control and preferably on a lead.

In addition to the obvious beaches and hills have a look at the Coigach Geotrail and our walks pages for ideas about special places to enjoy on your holiday.
