Mobile phone reception on the peninsula is variable but generally fairly good. Data speeds are poor but should improve with the a new mast coming online in spring 2021. The best supported networks are O2, Vodaphone and EE as is the case in other areas of the northwest highlands. Some other providers such as Giff Gaff, Tesco and Sainsbury also use the O2 and Vodaphone networks.
The mountainous terrain affects reception in many areas so walkers, climbers and seafarers should never be solely dependent on phones in an emergency. Please make sure you are properly equipped before setting out.
Wifi is available at the following locations.
Coigach Community Hall (free but please make a donation to help us with costs)
The Piping School Cafe
Summer Isles Bar
