Mobile phone reception on the peninsula is variable but generally fairly good. The best supported networks are O2, Vodaphone and EE as is the case in other areas of the northwest highlands. Coverage on EE has improved with the construction of a new mast in the area. Some other providers such as Giff Gaff, Tesco and Sainsbury also use the O2 and Vodaphone networks.
The mountainous terrain affects reception in many areas so walkers, climbers and seafarers should never be solely dependent on phones in an emergency. Please make sure you are properly equipped before setting out.
