The Blue Hope Alliance is hosting a gathering to celebrate 10 years of the Wester Ross Marine Protected Area, as well as citizen science underwater surveying – thanks to National Lottery Heritage Fund and lottery players. You are warmly invited —to celebrate the MPA’s 10th birthday. This festival will honour our area’s two keystone species, maerl and herring. Join us for thought-provoking grass roots discussions to dream up the future of our waters together, alongside a magic evening event with a flotilla of illuminated boats we hope to fill with music, song and sea stories – and gratitude. Sparklers, lanterns, welcome. Weather permitting! Please wear pink to celebrate our favourite coral-like seaweed! A full schedule will follow for the 26th and 27th. Most importantly we invite you to begin to dream what you want for the future of our seas and coastal communities.
