Take some time to explore some less visited corners in the north west highlands away from the rush of the main NC500 route. Find out about the people who have occupied these places over the last 5000 years and their way of life.
This trail, launched in May 2022, explores the local heritage from Culnacraig in the south of Coigach to Kylesku at the north east corner of Assynt and visits locations including brochs, caves and waterfalls along the way.
“The trail will allow people to stop and reflect on a rich and complex history which runs through this amazing landscape, from the end of the last Ice Age to the present day.”
